- I submitted my idea to Google's "Project 10 to the 100th".
Google received over 100,000 entries! From the entries, 100 ideas will be chosen by Google. On January 27, 2009 the public will be able to vote and 20 semi-finalists will be chosen. Then an advisory board will select up to five ideas. Google will commit $10 million to implement the ideas. Check it out at: www.project10tothe100.com

The Green Summit, in Phoenix (5-6 September 2008), was a great success. I spoke with over 200 people and the response to the colander/bowl set was overwhelmingly positive. Some people wanted to buy the set, while others inquired as to the store(s) that carried it. Here are a few pictures from the two-day expo (click for larger images).

I've been writing letters to companies inquiring about whether they may be interested in a licensing agreement with me. At the same time, I've been contacting steel industrial plants in North America about getting the set manufactured. It's tough going. As much as I'd like to get the set made in North America, I may have to start looking for manufacturing options in Asia.
- My thanks to Scott Lindsey and Ann Gaines from Independent Custom Metalworks for their help and expertise in making my
prototypes. They look great!
